Jasper AI Review (2023) – Is Jasper AI worth it?
I hope you’re ready to learn all about Jasper AI in this review, because this tool has changed my life as a blogger, and I have a feeling it will change your life, too…
Have you ever been tasked with writing a piece of content and wished you could pay someone to do the work for you?
Perhaps you need to create a Facebook ad, a marketing email for an email campaign, or write an entire blog post, and you’re sitting there staring at a blank document wishing the words would just type themselves onto your page…?
Then two hours later, you’re sitting there binging your favorite TV show without a single word written… Anyone else, or just me?
What if there was a tool that could help you remove your writer’s block and write content for you?
Well, it’s your lucky day because that tool is now here and ready for the general public.
I don’t even want to call him a tool. He might be offended by that. ๐
He’s actually a robot named Jasper backed by the team at Jasper.ai (formerly Jarvis.ai) that uses the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to magically produce words directly on your screen for all sorts of use cases (ad copy, blog posts, emails, and much more).

Using Jasper is easy. First, go to Jasper.ai and select “Try For Free.” Sign up for an account using your email, Google, or Facebook and Jasper will take you to the dashboard. You’ll notice it’s sleek and straightforward.

Jasper will take you to the dashboard that is sleek and straightforward
Once you’ve selected a template, enter your product or company name, product description, and tone of voice.
This tone of voice feature lets you tailor your copy towards your audience
This tone of voice feature is something most AI writers don’t offer.
But it lets you tailor your copy towards your audience. Choose if you want your writing to be excited, confident, happy, or formal.
After adding a tone of voice, select how many pieces of copy you want to produce, and click “Generate.” On the right, you’ll find all the outputs that Jasper created.
Pick which is best for you, and copy and paste it into your tool of choice like Surfer SEO, WordPress, or Google Docs.

Now let’s look at my three favorite Jasper features.
50+ Content And Copywriting Templates
The feature that stood out to me the most was the endless amount of content and copywriting formula, and templates. There are templates for:
Simply head over to the dashboard to access all Jasper templates.
If you can’t find one you’re looking for, type it into the search bar on top, and it’ll pop up. So regardless of your content or copywriting needs, Jasper has you covered.
One of my favorite templates is the Jasper rewriter. With this tool, simply paste the existing copy, and Jasper produces readable spun content that passes the best plagiarism checkers.
These tools are useful if you like repurposing content for blog posts, social media, ebooks and more. Here, Jasper rewrote an intro for our review on JotterPad.

This is perfect for repurposing content. Let’s say you have a few YouTube videos that your audience found helpful. Copy these transcripts into Jasper, and it’ll rewrite your content. You can then post it on your website and social media channels.
SEO Content Generators
Not only are the articles produced optimized for SEO, but Jasper AI is also compatible with Surfer SEO. Simply head over to workspace settings and turn on SEO Mode within Jasper to connect the two tools. Next, create a new document, log into your Surfer SEO account, refresh the page, and you’re good to go.
I also like using Jasper to generate short meta descriptions and SEO titles because it rarely needs extra work, and the output is SEO optimized.
Content Recipes
Blog posts
Cold emails
Non-fiction book introductions
Facebook ads
Product reviews
So let’s say you want to write a blog post but don’t know where to start.
Simply click on the blog post recipe, and it’ll take you to a detailed outline. So all you need to do is fill in the blanks.
Jasper USPs
The company is sustainable as they charge monthly vs a lifetime deal. Also they’re well funded ($125M at a $1.5B valuation)They are solid at marketing, as I’ve explained before.
Founders are really good at copywriting and marketing.
They use Davinci GPT-3 model – the best model.
Support for AI commands (Boss Mode). Best in the game.
Strong community – You can be informed about new discoveries, workflows, and recipes.
The AI is fine-tuned for copywriting (Jasper was initially branded as Conversion.ai for a reason!)

Pros and cons
Pros
- It comes with really useful content templates. My favorites are the video script hook (a really unique one! ), the AIDA, PAS, the content improver, the blog post intro, and the feature to benefit.
- It also includes a long-form content assistant to help you write long-form blogs, sales copies, and video scripts quickly.
- It comes with Boss Mode. With this, you can supply Jasper GPT-3 commands for it to generate content (Similar to Google Assistant). Powerful! Explore all Boss Mode features here.
- You get free access to Grammarly along with Jasper’s Boss Mode plan
- Features of Jasper are really well thought out, keeping real-life use cases in mind.
- Supports up to 25+ different languages. Say “hi” to generate vernacular content at scale. See all the languages supported by Jasper.
- It comes with a grammar fixer, content simplified, and a plagiarism checker (for your own peace of mind).
- They have a really active Facebook community of over 57,000+ members. It enabled them to crowdsource ideas, roll out a “community recipes” feature, and create a content writing job board (to help you hire Jasper certified writers).
- It integrates with SurferSEO (a correlational SEO tool) to create SEO-friendly content at scale. This comes at an additional fee, though.
Cons
- Jasper can be a liar when it comes to facts and figures. It comes down to a con of the underlying tech; GPT-3. As of now, it sucks when it comes to factual details. But indeed, at this price, they may need to consider including a fact-checking feature.
- Jasper can struggle a lot in some niches where there’s a scarcity of content on the internet (but ironically, you need to write about keywords that have a scarcity of content for SEO rankings ๐ญ). Suppose you’re writing about a new tech like blockchain; it needs more training. It’s more of a GPT-3 con.
- It can be pretty costly for beginners. They’d be better off with ChatGPT.
- Their mobile UI/UX sucks big time. Not at all responsive!
- Jasper lacks an API. So if you’re trying to hook it up with Zapier for unveiling interesting use-cases, you’re out of luck!
- It doesn’t come with an export to DOCX feature. You can need to manually copy and paste the content to Google Docs or Word. Not a big deal, though.
How does it compare to other tools?
As of now, no tool in the market offers features like GPT-3 commands and assures you high-quality outputs.
I’ve compared the outputs of all these tools, but Jasper delivers the best content. At atleast for copywriting and persuasiveness. I think they’ve done a good job at priming the AI with quality copies. And also, the AI outputs don’t feel like hit or miss.
If you’re interested in writing persuasive long-form content, Jasper is the best of me writing this blog post.
